0036: Detroit and Toronto in 2013

We've seen so many throwback designs for the Maple Leafs and Red Wings as part of the Winter Classic Weekends series. Despite that, they all seem to be different and unique. You'd think at some point they'd have to all start running together. Torin Kowalenko adds a great pair of looks to the pile with his set. I could definitely see something like it on open-air ice next January.

Normally I'd just say "Oh no, not another Red Wings/Maple Leafs Winter Classic concept," but this is probably the best set I've seen. Well done, Mr. Kowalenko.

I love the design of both jerseys. The only thing I do not like is the word "Detroit" on the Red Wings Jersey. The font looks funny and I would like to see the "D'" in the previous Winter Classic jersey in the front of this jersey.

I saw this this morning on my phone and maybe it was the device, but the Maple Leafs' white was that vintage creme color instead of the white. I liked that a little better, but this set is still fantastic. I really like the striping on Detroit.

Brett: Seems the problem may be with your computer screen, rather than your phone. It is, in fact, "vintage white" on the Maple Leafs jersey, so you know.

Love the idea of no cream in the jerseys. Not offending others that use it, but IMO I like white much better. Anyway I love both of these but in particular Toronto's. Hope they do something like that. 5/5 IMO

The Leafs jersey is pretty good. The only problem is the Habs stripethrough the middle, leafs fans probably wouldn't be happy with that.
