0214: Windsor Spitfires

Junior Hockey Week continues with the OHL's Windsor Spitfires. Scott Saffran designed a couple of new uniforms for the team.

I'm loving the grey shoulders and helmet.
Also, I like the blue helmet with the white jersey. The last team in the NHL to do it was the Avs when they were new to the league (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't think the black helmet worked with the white jerseys then.

Anyway, awesome concepts Scott.

Grey shoulders would be neat, except I associate that with the Islanders' terrible thirds now, so thppppt.

It looks like the colors were randomly assigned to various parts of the uniform

And the aircraft depicted is a U.S. P-40 Tomahawk of the "Flying Tigers" not a RAF "Spitfire". Back to the drawing board!

These are concept jerseys, not a concept logos. If there is a technical issue in the logo, take it up with the team, not me. And Django, though I felt I planned the colors well, it does still give me the same vibe. I'll whip up another set soon.
