0443: Reviving the WHA

You know what we haven't done in a while? A theme week. So I have a solution. This week I'll be featuring all concepts for or inspired by teams from the WHA — the old World Hockey Association. We kick it off with this Indianapolis Racers sweater from Ryan Yuck. It bears the name and number of Wayne Gretzky, who played eight games for the franchise before being sent to Edmonton.
Ryan's back with some revisions to his original design.

i like it but can't help feeling the logo size and location aren't quite right. larger and higher would seem more correct in my opinion.
i like the lettering/ number font and i like the checkerboard striping. not so sure about the logo. seems kind of pee-wee-ish.
Love it. And, although I understand it IS the speedway's logo, I'd think the Detroit Red Wings to take exception to the winged wheel in secondary logo.
gretzky wore 18 on indy
Gretzky wore 9 when playing for the Racers.
@Jords and Big B..... Semantics haha
More WHA PLEASE!
Not semantics, icethetics.
