0290: An Avalanche of Blue

Ryan Haslett has a pretty unique look for the Colorado Avalanche. The numbers are especially cool.

For me, I'm a fan because I like the simplicity of the scheme. I also like the reliance on blue here. Yes, I know that there are a lot of blue teams out there, but I've never really been a maroon fan.

i kind of like them. not 100% sold on the numbers, but they could grow on me. the COLORADO image on the back needs to be removed, without question, but i like the simple design of it. i don't even mind the white highlights on the sleeves. (normally, i am opposed to piping like that.)

This would make a decent practice jersey or a sweatshirt. Much like the current Avs uniform, it does not say hockey to me. I like the main blue color (and the color scheme in general), but I would have a full sleeve stripe, as well as a matching one at the bottom of the jersey. Also, I would remove sleeve piping.

A little more burgundy would go a long way in making this better.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never been a fan of the Avs blue. I much prefer the maroon as the main color. Interesting stripes, and awesome numbers though.

Sorry but there isn't anything here that I like. Might as well take the logo off and put a word mark there like the Dallas jerseys.

I like the pattern but I don't think it works as well with the Avalanche's color scheme. The maroon and blue are both too dark to provide a reasonable contrast which would make this simple pattern distinctive, especially from a distance. Since the maroon doesn't pop out enough, its impact on the distant observer would be limited. But it's a decent attempt, and a good-looking sweater on the screen.

I agree too that the number font is especially terrific. I haven't seen anything like it, and it could work well with the logo. I like it better than their current numerical font.

It would work only for an 3rd jersey. I don't think it's strong enough to be a primary. Also, the Colorado should be moved up a bit. It's glued too much to the white hem stripe.

I quite like it. It looks smart and those numbers are really striking.

It's...different. I'm admittedly not a fan of any of the current Avs jerseys (the 3rd jersey needs to be burgundy again) but this one isn't any better in my opinion.

For me, I would swap the burgundy stripe and blue jersey and go for a blue stripe with a burgundy. The Avs current numbers font is, in my opinion, one of the best in hockey. It is definitely unique. When you see it, you know it's an Avalanche jersey. Not so with this. This just looks like a jersey from a bad futuristic movie.

That's just my opinion though.
