0330: North Dakota... Um...

You know, on these University Sunday posts, I typically like to use the name of the school and its athletics nickname in the title. But Todd Varga threw me a curveball with this University of North Dakota concept. They used to be called the Fighting Sioux, but a lot of lawsuits and 80 years later, UND simply no longer has a nickname. So there. As for the concept, you know I can't turn down a good green jersey.

Looks pretty good. I don't think "North Dakota" in the stripes is necessary, and I don't think the black shoulder yolk works on the dark jersey. Logo also needs to be smaller. Good direction though.

not bad, but isn't that "ND" logo pretty much the exact same as Notre Dame's "ND" logo? Something tells me ND wouldn't be too thrilled with that

Not bad. I think a white shoulder yoke would work better on the green sweater and that the "ND" logo needs a little tightening up -- just seems a little too disconnected. Other than that, I would say it's a pretty sharp look.

ditch the "north dakota" at the bottom and you got a winner!

That is the actual logo we use up here for north dakota, Notre Dame logo does look similar because, well it is, they actually have to pay North Dakota to use that logo.

didn't realize North Dakota used it first. Interesting. Well in that case jersey looks pretty solid to me

The Sioux, er, North Dakota, deserves a better jersey design than what they currently have. These are definitely an improvement over what they have now. I do like them, I just don't love them. I think the logo could be toned down a little and think the North Dakota on the bottom isn't necessary. I think I would like these better with the striping being one solid color versus green-black-green, etc. Overall though, an improvement on what they have now.
