0331: Put Back the Purple
Who else is in favor of the Los Angeles Kings bringing back purple? Their black and silver look is just so dull, isn't it? I like Dylan Alexander's concept, even if it does feature a Burger King third jersey. I kind of like that guy. He's grown on me over the years.

The Kings badly need to bring back the purple...er...forum blue. I'd get rid of the black entirely and add some gold. Was Gretzky allergic to purple and gold? I've never thought black, white, and silver represent L.A. very well. Especially if the name of your club is, the Kings.
This is a sharp set, though.

If you're going to bring back purple, you need to bring back the gold with it. Purple and black look like crap together. These would be outstanding jerseys is you switched the black to gold and got rid of the white one.
I don't know. I really like simple jerseys and their current black and silver ones are great. Purple should stay in the alternate
The purple sweater might make a good 3rd jersey... if the Burger King was swapped out for a crown.
would love the return of purple! and i've always liked the burger king (if i'm being honest i even like the old jerseys they were on, but understand why others hated them so.)
my only problem with these redesigns are that they are too much like the 2007-2011 sweaters. the stripes and piping are different and that's a nice choice but i think if they had the bland but current shield logo (with purple accents) on the chest the redesign would read better as a new jersey. but that's just my two cents.
I am in favor of the purple and black set shown here but they've made the Stanley Cup finals twice-1993 (lost to Montreal) and 2012 (won the Cup)-and guess what their color scheme was each time? Yes, black and silver so it looks like black and silver will be sticking around for a while.
Thanks for all the comments guys. I really like the Kings and loved their old purple. Kinda bummed they found success with the dull black white silver look, because now it won't be going anywhere.

Love these! I've always hated the silver Kings and thought they had their best jerseys ever when they introduced the shield, updated crown and purple. I love these jerseys. Even Burger King looks good. Would buy these in an instant.
when the Kings used their original sweater I was thrilled, when they went black and white, I wept.... Then Kings must be purple!!!!
I, too, prefer the old purple/gold color scheme, and like others, I'm a fan of the BK logo. But I hate the pointy crown, and would rather see the current silly shield or old Chevy logo than the pointy crown. Not a bad design for the jersey body, but colors and crests on this concept are not my taste.
How cool would that BK sweater look with gold body and purple and white accents? Wish I had the graphic skills to do this stuff.
Yes the Kings NEED to be purple, but the best purple jerseys they had are the originals from the Dionne/Simmer/Taylor days.
