it is a great idea. i GET it, but that doesn't mean i have to like it. (that said, it might look better on the ice than it does as a mock-up.)
university sunday is starting to become ridiculous. cant we focus on real college hockey programs?? first it was pac12 jerseys every week and now UNC???? come on. If youre gonna do college hockey do schools that have teams. or at least schools that would make sense having teams in the future. I love this site but some of these U sunday concepts are just a waste of a slide. Im sure your email gets flooded with college concepts for U sunday and i refuse to believe that this is the best one.
Pac 12 schools have 8 teams with club hockey teams, making up (you guessed it), the Pac-8 hockey conference.
Even for schools that don't have teams--who cares? This is a concept site. It's used for concepts.
I'm a big Tar Heels fan, so I mostly like this jersey. The biggest issue that I have with it is the sides. The way it is now, the zigzag pattern looks almost like a faux-tribal design. The designer was trying to go for the look of the basketball jerseys which I get and like, however they should have done a bit more looking at that jersey up close. The bball jerseys use an argyle-like pattern on the sides and that's what should have been used here. It is very striking and would have made a great addition to this jersey but as it stands now the sides look stupid. This guy should do some more research and fix that portion of the jersey, or do the research in the first place…
So, in closing, it's almost a great jersey.
