0320: Pittsburgh Flashback

Colin May shares a blue Penguins jersey similar to what was used during the team's inaugural season in 1967. Any appetite to see it come back someday?

Noooo Thank You, I can't even stand the sight of the blue 60's/70's mish mash Frankenstein jersey they use as a 3rd now! Pens need to create a new set of uniforms using the '91/'92 uniforms as a template
No more blue. Please, God, no more blue.
I'd love to see Pittsburgh go back to its "Blue Roots". I prefer the city name to be on away jerseys. The "Next Six" NHL teams added some awesome colour to the league and those teams should stick to those designs as the "Original Six" does.
To shed a bit of light on this concept, it was meant to go with these concepts as an alternate: http://www.icethetics.info/concepts/2012/5/5/0077-steel-town-in-the-70s.html
I made these over a year ago (before the Max Talbot was a Flyer), and before I realized how far over the top Pittsburgh with a second blue (double blue, even!) Winter Classic/alternate uniform. I know blue can get a bad rap on this site because so many teams use it. I also know that the double blue combo is widely criticized because so many teams have used it of late. I agree that this colour scheme has been over used as of late, but do think it still has its merits. However, I do concede that it has no place on the Penguins unis day-to-day (special events, e.g. Winter Classic is a different story, but the Pens should not be in another WC anytime soon, and if they do feature in another WC, they should definitely steer clear of the double blue... they've done that the last 2 times...). If I were to re-do all of these unis (today's and the ones from concept post 0077) today, they would most definitely feature black, white, and athletic gold.
As much as I hate the Penguins, I really like this jersey. While I realise that you made it over a year ago, it makes me cringe to see Mad Max's name on a Penguins jersey, and that's pretty well the only criticism I have of it.
I must say, as much as the Penguins wearing blue more often now with that ugly navy blue fauxback jersey is becoming more and more irritating on top of their dull and boring home and road jerseys, I don't think this concept deserves such a low rating. I agree that the Pens should bring back their 91/92 jerseys full time but this is a nice concept and the only thing that it needs is the player's name in white with blue trim like the numbers.
The 'H' is too high. Looks like you ran out of room.
