0324: Jets Get Justined
Monday · Jan 7 · 2013 | 9:00 AM PST 11 Comments
Got an unusual theme for this week. I realized that, oddly, some of our most prolific concept artists are named Justin. So I'm giving them their own week — in part so I can unload a bunch of their work! Today, from Justin Cox we get this very sharp blue sweater. Would be a great replacement for their existing home sweater, in my opinion. What's yours?

The red and white piping down the arms strays a little too close to the Blue Jackets look, it would be a little better if it was just one color.
Huge improvement over what they wear now. Nice work!
While I think their current homes need a bit of work...Stop adding red.
Looks really sharp! Plus there's an "Atlanta" feel to it as well. I like it!
just nit pickin but the crest needs to be lowered just a bit.
I'd like to see a re-submisson where the arm striping stops at the air force-esque lines there. Also a different primary blue, not sure what color but I'm just not a big fan of the light blue for some reason. Great concept though, keep up the good work, 4 stars.
You can lose all of the red piping around the jersey and on the socks, because it looks quite similar to the Blue Jackets' style, and it doesn't really seem to fit that well on it.
But this would make a terrific third jersey!
I just went through all of Justin Cox's designs after enjoying both the Jets and Sharks concepts and realizing it was the same Justin. Loved the grey stripes/bars on the Jets' sleeves, and I don't mind the red.
I was further impressed that it was him who also did the Sens redesign, which I largely really enjoyed (love the use of the heavily under-used "newer" 2-D Sens logo). Just saying - I really hope Justin does this stuff professionally, because I really enjoy all of his designs.
Also I would indeed also wear the Futurama sweater he designed.
Love how it feels almsot like a thrashers throwback, for sure would make a great 3rd!
Adds a total Atlanta feel to it. Absolutely love it and I would BUY one (or two) in a heart beat!!
This lighter/robin's-egg/whatever blue is awesome for Winnipeg. It fits in completely with the RCAF heritage they play with nowadays. Note the air force branch's ensign here:
