0409: Touching the Untouchable

Here I believe is proof that messing with a classic doesn't always mean messing it up. Antonio Calisto came up with a couple of alternate sweaters for the Montreal Canadiens that are not replicas of anything they've worn in the past. And wouldn't you know it, they're actually pretty darn good.

Alternate jersey one needs a bit more bottom definition. A stripe like on the home or road jersey would make it perfect.
Alternate jersey two should never see the outside of a team practice.
Where can I buy both! They are awesome! I love the alernate 2. Alernate 1 is great too. It looks like the 1945/46 jersey.
Isn't the first alternate a replica (somewhat) of their 44-47 white jersey? I'm liking it!!
Alternate jersey 1 looks like the one they wore for the Heritage Classic in 2003:

is it me or do both of the white ones looks a bit more femanine they way they are set up? maybe the lack of color on the top or in the middle just make them look a little like blouses.
Alternate 2 is kind of cool. Alternate 1 is way too similar to the MTL jersey that already exists
If you're going to put the Canadiens' logo on a coloured background, you have to fill in the blue or red around the H or you've done a lazy job.
Hey Don you 're right about color missing around the "H" thanks for pointing it out.
Jonathan C. my wife told me the same thing i 've got another template on the works.
Thanks for the feed back guys.
I really like the striping on concept 1. It looks better than the real jersey. It's a subtle change, but it works. I would buy that before buying the actual jersey. I'd move the sleeve numbers above the arm stripes however.
Concept number2, meh. I'm happy it's on icethetics and not on actual ice. Don said "f you're going to put the Canadiens' logo on a coloured background, you have to fill in the blue or red around the H or you've done a lazy job." I have to agree with that. Hell of a job though all in all. Nice creative effort.
