0271: Sharp Sénateurs

We've seen a lot of incredible Ottawa Senators concepts grace this pages and this one definitely joins that company. Scott Markiewicz has assembled a fantastic design that captures the history of this team and the history of its predecessor while not looking old and stale. Bravo!

This concept is terrible and pretty boring - nothing that really eye catching... Mr. Markiewicz added a polish flag on a home jersey, pants and socks . This home set related more to Chicago Blackhawks rather than to Senators with his choice of colors. I would rather see gold/red/black and very little white as possible to accomplish Senators jersey. As far as that logo goes - simply trim everything from top of the helmet to the shoulder part - that way we'll have a nice sharp looking logo up to the point, get rid of that boring, bent decor around the face.
I love this. I don't know why the Sens don't use that logo as their primary (or at all!), it's easily the best logo they've ever had. A great update of the original 2D centurion-head, it's just a classic NHL-style logo - not too busy, but still nicely detailed. If we could have something like this design (though I'd make the home jersey red and keep the current black 3rd) I'd be a happy Sens fan indeed!
Put the =O= on the front with the stripes wrapping around the back and you would have the closest thing to a perfect Sens jersey. The gladiator head looks alright but it's just a product of 90's merchandising trends. If the Canucks were a 90's expansion team the fans there would love the orca as much as they love the stick-in-rink now.
it's quite simple but lacks of anything catchy. But anything with this logo is way better than what they actually wear -- except their third. Maybe they will wait for the post-Alfredsson era to come with that logo ?
CALL EUGENE MELNYK! THIS IS PERFECT!
Love all these awesome Sens concepts. Amazing that all of these unbelievable ideas are floating around, and their regular jerseys are some of the worst in the NHL.
Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll see if I can get an updated version done!
I don't know what you could complain about here- sometimes less is more. In the Edge Era, this especially rings true. I would like more gold incorporated, but I can admit that I appreciated their first sweaters much more than the current design. I think overall you did a good job, Scott. Removing "SENS" and the turned-head 3D logo and using the =O= and 2D head is the way to go.
If we're going wild, I'd be curious what a more maroon/wine shade with the gold would do. Something more Roman.
