0005: So Many Canucks Sweaters
Hi, my name is Liam Jones, and I'm new to all this stuff. I've been Photoshopping a lot of Canucks sweaters lately.
Liam puts it mildly. He certainly has been Photoshopping a lot of Canucks sweaters. Five of them, to be exact. I like that he even took the time to put one on a player in action. And even though I'm not a Canucks fan, I'm impressed by all this work. I don't think I can really find fault with any of these designs. They're all cool in their own ways.

Just the fact that he gets rid of that atrocious whale makes these winners in my book. I especially like his Johnny Canuck jersey; but, they all look really sharp. Nice work.

I love the Johnny Canuck as a 3rd to the blue and white's. That green is alright as a concept.
I like these all. I think they are much better than the jerseys currently being worn by the Canucks. It would be nice to see some more colour back in the NHL jerseys. I really like the white one with the "V" on the front. That would be great if they played a Heritage Classic game. These are actually some of my favorite concepts I've seen here. I would love to see what you could come up with for jerseys for Detroit and Toronto for next years outdoor game.
Every one of these is better than what they currently wear. Well done. My fave is the 'V' jersey, although I'd take out the Vancouver inside the V.
Don't know about the green socks and definitely think the helmet should be blue.
I despise the Canucks but the one in the middle of the top row is the best in my books.
Yeah...these are awesome! Fantastic work indeed! The blue and green looks better alone than it does on a player for some reason...but I still love it! I'd also like to see the green and blue 'shopped on a player.
That Johnny Canucks jersey though....SHOULD be the Canucks new third jersey. I can't tell if it's green and black or green and blue....but i'd like to see it with the current shade of blue. Just to brighten it up a bit. Not a fan of dark, muted colours. Other than that it's perfect!
I happen to like the Orca. yes it's crude marketing, but I'm a sucker for Native motives. And I like whales.
Anyway, if anyone who works for Vancouver Canucks comes across this..what are you waiting for? Introduce Liam to management!
Absolutely love the last sweater with the V on it. Would look amazing as a Heritage/Winter Classic sweater and maybe even a full time road alternate. Kudos Liam, that jersey, along with the Johnny Canuck one, are unreal.
Okay, so I've been frequenting the Concepts section for about a year now... and I can say without a second of hesitation that the Canucks jersey on the top-left following the Montreal Canadiens striping motif is teh best conept I have EVER seen on here, I'd love to see those in action.

White "V" design is insanely good. Well done.
I Love all of them, but I'm still not fully convinced that the Canuck's Green should be used as a base colour, but the overall design for that specific jersey is still solid
Personally, I'm not a fan of the stick-in-rink logo (not that I love the orca), but I'd love to see the Canucks just drop everything and adopt the top row as the (L to R) alternate, home and away. Then for a Heritage Classic they can bust out the V jersey on the bottom right. The green jersey is the only one I'm not a huge fan of, but the whole set is spectacular. Very well done!

Jeez...thanks a lot, Liam. Now that these are in public domain there's likely no chance the Canucks will ever get close to using these. But, I really hope they do - all these concepts are awesome! In fact, I'd suggest they are among the top 3 I've ever seen on Icethetics. Thanks for sending them in!
Nice jerseys, I like them all, one thing i'd change though is i'd switch the stick in rink logo on the alternate with the one on the 40th anniversary, other than that great work!
I think that the Johnny Canuck jersey is too reminiscent of the Blackhawks' winter classic uniform, with the chest stripe and circular logo. The blue and white jerseys to the right of it, however, would be excellent home and road uniforms. The jersey with the Millionaires-inspired logo would be better suited as a heritage classic jersey, in my opinion.
The 1st three sweaters are absolute M-O-N-E-Y. Great Work...keep it up
I'll be entirely honest: These are some of the best concepts I've ever seen. I wasn't a huge fan when the Canucks changed from the Navy/Maroon-ish color scheme to the new blue and green, but if they wore these jerseys I'd love it. Especially the green one and the first one with the stripe across the middle. Very well done. Only thing I was bummed about was being limited to 5 stars.
Also, the use of photoshop was a great idea, albeit probably tough to pull off. I like being able to see an almost lifelike version of a concept.
