0017: Black for the Blackhawks Revisited
Tuesday · Mar 6 · 2012 | 9:00 AM PST 12 Comments
The Chicago Blackhawks' uniforms are among the most recognizable in all of sports. Because of that, it's always difficult to propose a new concept. The designers of the Hawks' 2009 Winter Classic uniform proved they were equal to the task. But after two years of using it as a third jersey, the team has let the black go by the wayside. Kris Lutes wants to bring it back — but with a few changes that make it look a little more like a Blackhawks sweater. I think he managed.

excellent concept!! are there rules about the arm numbers being in a certain place tho??
Very nice design. Not sure if I like the numbers right up on the shoulders like that though. But either way, good work!
Wish I could see a complete mock-up of this on a player. SWEET ASS JERSEY!
Very nice
The "C" logos being under the numbers on the sleeves is a cool nod to past Hawks sweaters. I really like this design.
Looks good, but still would prefer the black alternates that are recolors of our normal red and white sweaters.
it's not horrible… so many chicago redo's are… this, quite frankly, is well thought out and stays true to an original 6 identity
these are sweet, i really like how the shoulder numbers and patch are switched
Switch the numbers and tomahawks and it's a winner.
Really like these! Nice muted color scheme, white would be too bright on these, love the beige/cream instead. A real winner !
Personally I think the NHL should not allow any more black based jerseys. The league needs more colourful jerseys. The circle main crest is being way over done lately also. I don't hate the concept, just really sick of the colour black as a base colour on jerseys.
I love this! The only things I would like to see are the numbers on the shoulder and the tomahawk pacthes in the oppisite place. Also, I'd rather see this jersey in red rather than in black.
