0377: Two Blue Freak Out

On Tuesday, I acknowledged the abundance of Isles concepts on these pages and offered up an example of a good one. Today, for Freak Out Friday, we hit the other end of the spectrum. Andy Bugelli seems to have a better handle on manipulating NHL video game software than designing hockey sweaters. Still, what do you think of the Islanders in a lighter blue?

I honestly dont think this is that bad. It is a little different, but I'm a fan of the light blue as a third. Better than black and probably more likely than orange.

Looks like a nice practice jersey, and it's way better than what they are currently forced to wear as an alternate (but the bar is very, very low there).

Love the color scheme at work here. I think the two shades of blue work nicely with the orange accent. Reminiscent of the ATL Thrashers IMO. My only comment is that he's using the original Reebok Edge All-Star jersey template from the Edge 1.0's inception. Maybe the game software has limitations on which templates you can modify, not sure.

I'd like to see the color scheme applied to a variation on the Isles current template or something else. I do like the use of the Navy and Orange piping though. Seems to work in this case. Nice work overall! The logo doesn't look out of place at all either. The navy background on the lighter blue sweater is very nice!! Kudos! This could easily replace the Isle's current Alt uniform. I also like the orange accent on the navy gloves. Sorry for rambling on so long. -JC

seems out dated. i could see these being real jerseys in the late 90s. actually kind of reminds me of the old eagle capitals sweater.

not quite freak-out worthy in my opinion.

Hey, creator here lol. This one is an old one. I really like the colour scheme and I would do something more extensive if I had the ability to. The NHL game only has a few jersey templates to work with and this worked best with the colour scheme.

The colors look pretty good. But it does look kinda like an MLS jersey with the pattern

I think the colours work real nice together and would look better in real life than the video game look here. It would be a real nice 3rd with a navy helmet. Maybe an alternate logo or "Islanders" across the front to make it an alternate jersey
