0398: The Coconut Whale
This week's Freak Out Friday is brought to us by Ryan Yuck, who takes us to the American Hockey League for a change. I'll let him explain why.
This is probably the weirdest jersey I have ever done. It's not pretty, however, I find it rather hilarious. Introducing... The Coconut Whale. My inspiration stems from the article you posted surrounding the Connecticut Whale franchise. Basically, at first glance I read, "Coconut" instead of "Connecticut". I thought to myself "what the f***?" until of course, I re-read the title of the article.
I thought it was a comical name for a team so I went along with it and made a concept. Call it a freak out, heck, call it a funny Beer League team. Whatever it is, this jersey will never see the light of day. Haha.

As a Whale fan I think this is kinda funny! I think the blue jersey would be a great idea for a one-off specialty jersey for a Hawaiian theme night or something!
I totally agree, for a Hawaiian, Jimmy Buffet-esque Night this would be fantastic! Maybe make the Neck Pipping a Lei or something of that nature! Whatever this is, I actually find it to be very creative in style... Well Done!
I think this is better than what they wear now, and that says a lot... I mean there's a Whale coming out of a coconut....
Talking of miss reading, I really didn't look at the title too much or the jersey design, as I thought for some reason this was a Canucks design.. Which I found really funny. However, it was a great FOF design that wouldn't go amiss in a Beer League either...
Really cool idea having the coconut texture inset on the teal one. It's definitely weird, but not in your face at all. That jersey would be filthy for any roller team.
