0384: Sunny Florida Freak Out
Friday · Mar 8 · 2013 | 9:01 AM PST 12 Comments
We get the Florida Panthers on this Freak Out Friday. And I was always told that if I have nothing nice to say, I should say nothing at all. So I'll just say it's very colorful and bright and let you guys continue to discuss this concept by Alexander Aulila.

Look at it go!
Sorry but no. Did the Panthers move to Japan?
I like the color scheme and the stripes but the team name on the back hem just doesn't work. Also the positioning of the sublimated sunrise into the corner gives an effect too close to the Imperial Japanese war flag.
For Freak out Friday it's awesome!
it reminds me more of the Arizona State Flag without the yellow
I do like the sublimated approach! I agree with the comment about the Japanese war flag, but the overall idea is cool. Just a little tweaking. Maybe something else besides checkerboard for the sublimated sleeves. I think it's a fresh idea for the NHL to feature the ghosted sublimation much like the National jerseys seen in the Olympics. Overall I love the color scheme with the minimal use of Navy. Good starting point for what could turn out to be a sweet jersey! Perhaps a touch more "Miami Spice" and we've got something awesome! Keep working on it.
This makes me wonder if one day NHL teams will have sublimated patterns in their jerseys like in soccer... mmm
Looks like a roller hockey jersey.
I don't think it would be a good idea for the Panthers to actually wear this jersey, but its a cool concept. Only thing I would change is to get rid of the word mark on the bottom of the back of the jersey. Other than that, it's pretty cool.
I really should hate that jersey, but the shades of red are excellently chosen and the striping looks good despite there being so little of it. Awesome concept and perfect for FOF.
I actually like this jersey, but yeah, it's a pretty radical departure from the norm. I'd also lose that Panthers wordmark as others have suggested.
looks like something out of euro, which i guess translates to freak-out friday success. i would like to see more blue in it though, maybe either in the text and numbers or maybe the wedge shapes beneath the arms.
