0493: Return of the Whalers

Can't do a week of past NHL team concepts without including the Whalers. The ever-prolific Bastian Schmülling put together this green uniform set.

Nice work! Cute logos usually don't have a place in such a fierce sport but Pucky is a definite exception.

How about a Hartford Whalers jersey set but using the colors they wore during the NE Whaler yrs circa 77-79. That could look very interesting as well.

One thing about this team - the blue and green are so close to each other that the negative would be white:
Three blue and green stripes on white with white in the middle = three white on green with blue in the middle
Green W with blue tail = white W and white tail
The green jersey just doesn't work on the ice.

I would fill in the entire shoulder yolks, and put the base colors in the unused space on the ends (green on the white, blue on the dark). It would give the shoulders a more finished, post modern look.

Nice jersey set. Particular kudos on the symmetric shoulder patches (I find it odd when a patch with a definite face is facing backwards)
