0471: Last Hurrah for Dallas
The big day is tomorrow in both Raleigh and Dallas. But since the Hurricanes aren't changing their logos or colors, they're not quite as fertile ground for concept artists as the Stars. So I've got one more Stars post featuring three unique attempts. Avi Stein leads off with the starry D.
Icethetics regular Justin Nahhas did a little something in the style of the Lightning — in fact simply recolored actual Lightning jerseys to come up with this set. It's a solid color scheme.
And finally, Thierry Dick squeezes in his second Stars concept in less than a week with this gorgeous kit. He's employed the logos that were leaked a couple weeks ago.
Which of these three styles is your favorite for Dallas? And how eager are you to see what the team actually has in store tomorrow?

The star based sweater was distinctive and it's a shame that it wasn't portable to the Edge template. I like where the Icethetics contributors are going, which means I'm likely to be disappointed in the finished real product. That leaked D-star logo bothers me, because the D could be flush with the lines of the star points, and perhaps colored black. That would leave clean lines, clear demarcation, and avoid the black hole in the middle, no?
Four great concepts! If that is the new logo that was leaked, then I sure hope the jerseys to go along with it look just like Thierry's. I do love that North Stars colour scheme though...
I think it's unlikely that the real jersey will even come close to the quality of some of the designs we've seen on here...but we can hope.
Thierry's set is very, very good. The away is a little too gray-heavy for my taste, but that home is brilliant. I love that black/green alternate...I really miss the star-patterned jerseys for Dallas. My expectations are high for these new unis...hopefully Dallas won't disappoint.
I really, really like Thierry's concept. Change the away jersey so the sleeve and waist ending are white, and the home one to green at waist bottom and I may just consider that a perfect set. I like the black alt, but lose the larger star theme. Not necessary. Great job!
I like Thierry's concept, but I would have made the black striping a little narrower. It might make the silver a little more prominent.
