0677: A Very Wild Christmas

So often the Minnesota Wild are given a hard time for their "Christmas colors." And whether you agree or not, today one is the perfect opportunity to celebrate that. First up is Mat Ware whose created home and alternate jerseys to go with the team's new road sweater.

Next is a sweater by David Parkinson who put together just the right combination of red and green for that holiday feel.

On the other hand, Justin Nahhas went with a green jersey and still achieved a similar effect.

Finally, Dylan Wonka presents a pair of jerseys. The white one is pretty solid, but the Wild but the green one has some very merry striping if you ask me.

BONUS CONCEPT

Before you go, I've got a bonus concept that was tailor-made for today. Our favorite 8-bit artist Al McCready recreated the Stars' and Hurricanes' new uniforms in his unique style. Merry Christmas!

0591: The Stars by Hand

Everybody's favorite pen-and-marker concept artist is back with a revision for the Dallas Stars. Morgo Uxbridge has gone for more gold and a more traditional pattern, inspired by the Stars' own history. It's a really solid look, but I'm still not convinced gold is better than silver for Dallas.

0515: Alternate Greys

About six weeks ago, the Dallas Stars and Carolina Hurricanes treated us to their new looks. Both use silver/grey in the logos but not as a primary part of their color palette. That hasn't stopped these two artists from producing grey third jerseys for each — separately, of course. Bastian Schmülling came up with the Canes look while Mason Hesse did a little something for the Stars. What do you think? Should grey be the next odd color we see take over an NHL sweater?

0472: Unveiling Day, Part 2

Brian says this green Stars jersey is his prediction for this evening based on everything he's heard and seen from the team. Stars owner Tom Gaglardi has talked a lot about the team's history when discussing the new uniform designs.

And this is another of the wishful-thinking variety. That logo sure looks good on black. Guess we'll see what happens tonight!

And finally, Mason Hesse puts forth a possible look for a future third jersey. Great looks all around.

0471: Last Hurrah for Dallas

The big day is tomorrow in both Raleigh and Dallas. But since the Hurricanes aren't changing their logos or colors, they're not quite as fertile ground for concept artists as the Stars. So I've got one more Stars post featuring three unique attempts. Avi Stein leads off with the starry D.

Icethetics regular Justin Nahhas did a little something in the style of the Lightning — in fact simply recolored actual Lightning jerseys to come up with this set. It's a solid color scheme.

And finally, Thierry Dick squeezes in his second Stars concept in less than a week with this gorgeous kit. He's employed the logos that were leaked a couple weeks ago.

Which of these three styles is your favorite for Dallas? And how eager are you to see what the team actually has in store tomorrow?

0468: Triple Dallas Freak Out

I know we're mostly hockey fans here, but does anyone recognize where Ted Noakes got his inspiration for this jersey design? It's a Freak Out Friday home run!

Antonio Calisto has a fascinating set of Stars uniforms to share — but since it has no actual connection to the team itself, I felt compelled to give it a Freak Out Friday placement. I mean, what's with the throwback that doesn't throw back to anything? The great thing about the Stars is they do in fact have a decent uniform history to draw on.

Finally, we wrap up our second solid week of Dallas Stars concepts with this from Johnny Woods. He even has this smattering of logos he's come up with. Certainly trying to be creative and I love to see that.
