The Blackhawks host the Penguins at Soldier Field next winter as part of the NHL's new Stadium Series. But what should they wear? John Elbertson pictures a game without white jerseys. And why not? Red versus gold would look good!

I am in love with the arched name on the Hawks sweater. A beautiful change of pace.
numbers on the back of CHI's jersey should be white, and I would make PIT's shoulder yoke black. other than that, perfect.
Can you imagine those to sets on the ice with the sun shining! Awesome for HD TV. Huge fan!!
Firstly, on Blackhawks jersey : chest stripes doesn't belong with that set up . A crest with too many things already in it plus an addition of that many chest stripes will make it dizzy( same goes for the back of the jersey making a number difficult to read from a distance). I would rather see a hem stripes and a sleeve stripes redone to match with stripes under a tie down neck. Blackhawks jersey needs a lit more white to balance it in. Secondly, on Penguins jersey: I'm okay with a white yoke, but make a stripe under either thicker in black or in white. I would reverse a color on sleeves stripes and hem. A white outline would do wonders on a roundel crest. TV numbers must be in black. Maybe by adding white to the bottom of the sleeves and below a hem stripes would make it more winter type jersey for that classic event in Chicago.
I would strongly consider buying the Chicago sweater, not gonna lie.
This would be perfect if the name on the Blackhawks jersey wasn't arched. Otherwise great work.
I really like the concept of both of these designs. The Penguins sweater would be perfect and I'm sure it would sell well. I like the addition of white on the shoulders, but think there should be some black between that and the yellow. The Hawks concept is definitely different and would look good on the ice. I think the numbers would be easier to see if they're white. That black on red could be problematic for some people (especially those who are color blind like myself) watching the game. Also, the logo looks a little off-center or awkward. Maybe it's because of the striping, but definitely looks funny.
