0538: Blue and Gold and Out There

I'm fairly sure this is a good example of what not to do with an NHL uniform. I like the attempt at a white-free design, but I'm afraid Marshall Dunlap has created a patchwork quilt more than a hockey sweater. But I may be alone. What do you make of this Friday Freak Out?

I like the socks, but that is about it.
I think that if you remove the side panelling and make the hem stripes better match the arm stripes, the jersey itself could be pretty cool. Change the pants to solid blue with maybe a yellow stripe down the sides, and you've got a potentially decent-looking set.
Reminds me entirely of the old LA Rams look... Appropriate that they now play in St. Lou... I would look the other way on this if the artist could convince the Rams to follow the lead!!!
Then why bother posting a bad concept? What is the point that you're after , Chris?
the sweater is ridiculous and awesome. but those pants just suck. maybe if you reversed the colors and had them looking like blue with yellow stripes... maybe..... maybe....
Felix: Simply put, I'm not the only one with an opinion. There are plenty of things I don't like that others do and the other way around. That's why. Thanks for asking.
It might look better with three crowns on the chest (Team Sweden).
It makes me think of the uniforms from Blades of Steel.
Reverse the colors and I love it
I agree with the poster that said change the side panels to yellow. I think that would make it look less boxy. I would also get rid of the blue stripe on the hem and make the arm stripes a little more narrow. I even kind of like the pants, nice original idea on those. I REALLY like the fact that someone made a jersey concept without black in it.
the pants are horrid, but i don't hate this. the socks are especially nice.
Even the shorts are yellow!
I like the logo... that's about it.
As disappointed that San Jose wasn't chosen, I like those concepts. very fitting!!!
Looks kind of like the home uniforms for the CJHL's (Junior B) Carleton Place Canadians (http://tinyurl.com/m772p7z)
