0572: Something Devilish

Today, Steven Grant shares an interesting re-striping of the Devils' uniforms. Here's his explanation:
The Devils seem to be a tough team to make good concepts for, but hopefully this attempt isn't too bad. It's basically a combination of their 1982-92 and current jerseys, but with the sleeve stripes moved up to where the TV numbers usually are, and the shoulder yoke extended down to those stripes.
By the way, tomorrow our Freak Out Friday series falls on Friday the 13th!

looks good on the template, but i am wondering if that would translate to the ice.
To be honest, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the current Devils jerseys, they're a classic set, albeit a common color scheme, but other than that there's no need for a change at all. They never had an alternate, and I think the perfect one would be their green jersey(s? maybe a fourth alt.?!) from the 80's.
But yeah, about what they actually wear, this is about the concept itself. It's decent, and seems to pay an homage to their current look and classic look, which turns to be pretty okay, but the two striping patterns don't seem to really match well, IMO. Other than that, it's a pretty good one.
Can't wait to see what we get tomorrow for FoF!
Minus points for putting '94' on a Devils jersey...
The thing with the Devils is that while they may not be perfect, they are hard to really improve upon. This is a decent effort, but would be better if the stripes on the sleves were moved down to the more traditional position below the sleeve number.
