0578: The WNHL Series Finale
Wednesday · Sep 18 · 2013 | 9:00 AM PDT 7 Comments
The last team in Nick Burton's WNHL series — a fictional Women's National Hockey League — hails from the Canadian capital, Ottawa. Here's what Nick has to say about the design:
Ottawa Nationals — The nation's capital takes the name Nationals to show its pride. It drops the black from the Senators scheme to give the team a more classic look. The logo is a maple leaf, with a sublimated Peace Tower inside the leaf. The maple leaf used for the logo is the same from the old Nationals team of the WHA, just updated.

Very good. However I wonder how long it will be before some Leafs fan accuses Ottawa of copying them by having a leaf as the logo.
Wow. I would love to see this for Team Canada instead of the upcoming Nike atrocity. Great concept as always, Nick.
Only thing I'd change is to better integrate the letters N and S into the white outline. Something that I'm sort of nitpicky about. Otherwise, awesome.
What Ryan said! This is EXACTLY what Canada should be in!
Tweak the logo and you would have two fantastic olympic sweaters. After six weeks, this WNHL series is six for six in my opinion. This is really good. One thing that I think might not look too bad is if you made the collars V-necks that were white-red-white. Great concept(s)!
I think this is a near-perfect sweater, layout, and logo. But if it were ME, I'd go for three-color or kiss-cut numbers to complement the sleeve and waist striping.. Otherwise, damn beautiful design. Solid "A" all around.
That sublimated peace tower is going to look like a sweat stain. Ditch it or make it more prominent.
