0590: Seattle Emeralds

Joseph Loretz brings us a feature for the Seattle Sunday series as he conjures up the Seattle Emeralds. Feels more like a women's hockey team to me, but it's a neat uniform design.

This is good. I'm always a pure sucker for green and yellow, when it's done right. It's one of my favorite color combonations, and it's done well, here. Kinda reminds me of the penultimate North Stars sweaters.

A team named after a geological rock has a lot of potential for a beautiful identitiy, this could use some work, but overall I really like it.

I like the green and gold, which would tie in to the potential return of the NBA Supersonics as well. But to me it looks like the artist is trying to slap green on what is intended to be a black and gold jersey, similar to the old Penguins black and gold from the 80's. It is a mish-mash that doesn't really work as well as intended.
