0033: Bringing Blue Back to D.C.

This idea is not going away. At least not until it comes to fruition in reality. Over the years, we've seen countless concept artists put the Washington Capitals' excellent "Weagle" logo on a blue jersey, but few have hit the mark that I think Justin Wiltron has here. It's a very cool look with a little bit of a throwback feel. And for as much stick as the Caps got during their Blue & Bronze Age, I thought the blue jerseys looked great. Bring the blue back to D.C.!

Very cool. I could see this as being a nice alternate jersey. Send it in to the Caps!

AS A CAPS FAN, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS JERSEY, TELL THE ARTIST TO SUBMIT IT TO 'UNCLE TED'

Very nice. Take the current third, make a red counterpart and turn those into home/away, and make this the new third. Would make for one of the most solid sets of jerseys in the league.

Very nice concept jersey. Would love to see the caps rock these!

this would compliment their current home and away set perfectly

James, just because your team is the Capitals doesn't mean you should type in all caps.

Great sweater, however. One of the best concepts we've gotten to see.

This is the best concept jersey thus far!

I like the concept, but I think the Weagle is just a little bit too low. Move it up an inch and a half (relative to an actual jersey), and I think you've got a winner.

Nice idea but when anyone puts those crappy half bands on the arms, they lose the jersey.
Edmonton realized their mistake with those arm bands and got rid of them.
Lose those and the jersey will be 100% better.

Love the Weagle, but "Rock the Blue"??

Mar 23 · 5:14 AM PDT | Unregistered CommenterLebCapsFan

Kinda hard to "Rock the Red" if it's blue. Switch the blue on the jersey to red; & the red on the jersey to blue.
Keep the rest the same & there ya go.

Personally, I'm not a fan of red. I rather have these as our Home jerseys. Also, this is an actual logo, the Capitals current chest emblem isn't a logo, it is the name of the team.

This is fantastic, the Weagle really needs to show up on the front of a jersey someday.

Looks awesome! Can I see it in Black. All alts must be seen in Black! Black is bold and intimidating. Caps could use some of that! ; )

This is a decent attempt, but could be a lot better.

The Weagle does look too low, but moving it up wouldn't leave a whole lot of room for a C or A. The Weagle in this design is just too big. The white/red/white stripes on the inside of the elbow are unnecessary. The thinner red/blue/red stripes down the sleeve look strange with all of the other stripes that are on this jersey - same thing with the neck collar stripes.

Oh, and the Reebok vector logo isn't used on the back of the neck anymore. Just saying.

Put laces on it at the neck and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I like the laces retro feel, but the caps don't have a single sweater with them.

How 'bout the weagle on a red, white & blue camo jersey??
