0128: Canucks and Stripes

Every once in a while we get one of those off-the-wall concept jerseys. This is definitely not the sort of thing we normally see. Steven Grant's green Canucks sweater is a novel idea even if it isn't perfect. I like the two-tone green stripes but I feel like the logo and numbers on the chest get a little lost in the shuffle. Curious to know what you guys think of this style.

This is the kind of thing I like in a third jersey. Clearly a Canucks uniform, but totally different, without going to the point of insanity (the Burger King jersey and the Blues trumpets jersey that Keenan wouldn't allow are examples of that). I think it's great. He's got the V going in there too. It's a good reference to something historic, but it's toned down, so it's not as gaudy. Again, I think it's it great.
Wow! I really love this it looks kind of like the new Nike team USA soccer 3rd jerseys. But this is really a great, unique look at a team
If it had a decent logo, instead of soccer styled crest, it would be a better third jersey than some lame traditional striping green jersey.
thats basically a long sleeved soccer shirt, not a hockey jersey, sorry not a fan.....
I'm not ready to give up on it! I'm very curious to see it with proper hockey striping and a chest crest. I'd take the kink out of the stripes and just go horizontal... then decrease the contrast between the two greens. You may want to do something unique where the sleeve material meets the chest, to avoid awkward stripes not lining up... maybe a white chunk with high numbers... I do like this style on soccer jerseys, sometimes it's bold but sometimes it's subtle. I think subtle will work better.
The two tone green looks like the jersey the German nation soccer team is currently using as its away jersey.
