0619: Bring the Green

No team is better suited to green jerseys than the Vancouver Canucks. And I'll keep preaching this until they finally do it. That's the goal. For today, though, Nick Burton gets the assist with this brilliant yet understated uniform concept.

I think the blue stick-in-rink logo would work better here, but other than that it's probably the best green Canucks jersey I've seen.
The Canucks could wear a green jersey, but this is not it. I appreciate the attempt, but reversing the logo's colours does not work. It looks like a whale with lips. Pucker up!
Green... Green being my favorite color, you can imagine a lot of jerseys of that hue are some of my favorites. I love it when the teams use that color, and am glad that it has increased this year with Dallas.
Over time, many teams have had primarily-green sweaters, like the Wild, Mighty Ducks, Whalers, Golden Seals, and North Stars. Green might be often seen as a disgusting color, and I can agree. But, if used in the right shade, like every one of those, it can make for a beautiful sweater.
Then you have the ones who have used green as merely a highlight, like the late Whalers, early Devils and Canucks.
But yeah, as you can tell, I love green jerseys, and wouldn't mind more of them in the league. The Canucks have a vintage look nowadays, but perhaps they can do something like this and make a green jersey. They have one of my favorite color schemes in the league, and they need to take advantage of the green!!!
My first thought upon seeing this: Now THAT is a third jersey!
Just excellent.
the whale looks like its puckering its lips for a kiss lol, the colours are great, the logo is the only thing I would have tweeked a bit
I love the Canucks' color scheme, and I would LOVE to see this sweater (or one like it) on the ice.
The green in this concept looks a bit off to me...but that could be just because of the template used. I like it!
Love the detail of the V in the sleeve striping!
@ Jason, that's not a whale. It's a hockey rink with a stick in it. This is a modernized version of the original stick in rink logo. A logo that predates an Orca in the Canucks colour scheme by 27 years.
The logo, aside from being a hockey rink and a stick, also forms a subtle "C".
