0618: Isles & Flames
It's Sunday and that brings another Islanders concept. How about this one from Brendan Nashman inspired by the old New York Americans? And since today is unveiling day for the Calgary Flames' third jersey...
...I had to sneak this one in from Brian Brideau. He took the leaked shoulder patch and created an entire uniform design around it. I think it's actually really cool. What about you? Better or worse than the actual jersey they're unveiling today?

I'm surprised the Isles/Americans hybrid isn't ranked higher as it's one of the best Isles concepts I've yet to see. Too bad it'll never happen though as it's already been stated the new thirds will be black and white. I also imagine the word "Brooklyn" will be prominently displayed on it.
There just seems to be too much black on the Calgary one, and not enough Flame.
NYHC?
I know it stands for New York Hockey Club, but NYHC will always strike me as New York Hardcore...and I know Vinny Stigma is a Rangers' fan, so i don't think he'd be too impressed.
For the Islanders one, there should be 4 stars above the logo, not 6. It's the Islanders we're talkin' about, and they always reference their 4 cup wins on everything. ;)
I'm also surprised the Islanders concept doesn't have a better rating. I think it's a pretty sharp jersey.
