0657: Yankee Stadium Sketches II

Stadium Series Week is winding down with another day of New York-centric concepts. Matt Madore presents this set for the Rangers/Islanders meeting. It's so unusual to see that shield on a Rangers jersey, but it really works. As for the Islanders, that's a lot of stripes.

And the prolific Mat Ware imagines a more colorful assembly of these two teams. Orange is becoming a very popular base for jersey concepts these days. Think we need more orange jerseys around?

I really like Mat Ware's set, I think blue vs orange could have been a cool looking game, just like how I think blue vs red in the Winter Classic and orange vs silver in the LA Stadium Series are both gonna be interesting looking games on camera.

Perhaps with the Dallas Stars new look orange is the new green? We know its not easy being green, but poor orange has been all but eliminated from the Sharks and is the butt of a terrible knock knock joke, so orange doesn't have it very rosy either. And what about purple or violet or eggplant? The people demand more color equality!

I like both, a lot. Add outlines to the names and numbers for the first concept and it's perfect. Second one, great how it is. Well done to both of you!

I love the orange isles sweater... would buy that in a second. Throw in the current pants, orange socks with machinate striping to the sweater and use the blue helmets and gloves... solid uniform. Why does this team have such a difficult time designing uniforms!!
