0394: Green and Two Golds

On the heels of St. Patrick's Day, I thought another green Dallas Stars concept was in order. Thomas Hopkins provides us with this look which, while more colorful, relies perhaps a bit too much on the wordmark style crest of the existing sweaters. It is the first I've seen to try a two-tone gold color scheme. Thoughts?

Love everything about it but the crest. The layout of the jersey and color palette is well done, and I like the numbering, but I would really like to see the BIG D with the star as a spur, as we've seen in a couple concepts before this one. This one is far enough away from being a Northstars nod to appeal to the masses (although any chance to give the Northstars a nod, I'm totally on board).
I saw this and I thought "THATS AWESOME! GREAT COLOURS!"
Then I saw the wordmark. I am so disappointed. Put on a real logo and then you have a jersey!
I have never been a fan of the wordmark on the Dallas jerseys, but for some reason this jersey works for me. I don't know why...but good design.
Hey looks great! Love the two-tone gold in there. Def reminds me of the classic North Stars jersey. I agree with the comment above: Put on a real logo and it's totally a jersey! I'd keep the striping and colors and just swap out the wordmark with a true logo. Giddyup!
Agreed, the colors and the jersey are perfect, but for God's sake enough with the wordmarks. Bring back the original crest, take it off the shoulders there and put it back on the chest.
I think we have a consensus. Logo instead of wordmark, but otherwise this jersey is outstanding.
like the jersey design, dont like the wordmark logo......if the team are looking for a brand new identity, this isnt it......
I'm actually indifferent to wordmarks over logos, especially in Dallas' case; with them it's not the wordmark I don't like, it's that there's almost nothing else on the jersey at all except a wordmark. That's why I really like this concept, there's actual colors and patterns on it, and it all comes together nicely. Would a real logo help? Maybe, but if this was the set Dallas brought out in 2007, I wouldn't have complained at all.
