0558: A Pair of Sabres Predictions

It's Thursday so we're likely to get another "sneak glimpse" of the Buffalo Sabres' new third jersey. In that spirit, how about a pair of predictions? Jeremy Roney thinks he has a pretty good idea of the final product. Think he's on the right track?

Brian just sent in a revised version of his Sabres prediction. Think he's close?

I don't think the fact that these have a (as of now) poor ratting is because they are bad concepts it's just that we can already tell that these will be bad jerseys.

I do not believe that there will nearly as much blue on the torso as in Jeremy's design. At most, the yoke and perhaps side panels. I also believe that the thin (1") white stripe running down the arm will start further up and the gray will begin higher on the sleeve.

Brian's is probably closer, though I do believe that the whole yoke will be blue (i.e., there won't be yellow over the name plate.

If the actual jerseys look like Brian's concept I'd be pleasantly surprised, however I don't think it'll look nearly as good we see here.

At the very least I feel that Brian's concept pretty accurately dipicts what we've seen so far. However I can't help but think that thw sweater will have virtually no striping on the sleeves. I like the pattern on the sides, pays homage to when the team wore red and black. I think the jersey will have more white though especially on the sleeves. Add some white to the outside of the grey on the sock stripes and bottom sides of the jersey and it's really close.

Where is the Grey that goes with the 8/15/13 that has blue then a stripe then yellow then grey

@ Jeremy Roney: The silver slashes on the back of the jersey. That extra "grey" you're talking about is just the sleeve folded over the jersey.

The actual sweater is very close to being the ugliest sweater produced in the last ten years. I hope it dies a quick death.
