0131: Beantown Bees

Bees. First thing I thought of when I saw this Bruins jersey by Brian Brideau. But as I keep looking at it, I can't help but like it. I realized that it's unlike any other jersey in the NHL because of one thing. There isn't a speck of white on it. Every other NHL jersey either has white or some variation (silver or something cream-like). It's true. Now, there's nothing wrong with white, I just think it might be something to see a jersey without it.

It does have white, one the neck laces...
I actually really like this. The sublimated design looks cool too. This jersey reminds me of their finals rally towel: http://www.hockeygearandequipment.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/-2842112608056349740.jpg
Guess you got me there, Dave.
if you look at it with the right lighting you can see a furry design embedded in it, did not catch that the first time
Reminds me way too much of the Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys that have this same dynamic, and I cannot stand the Steelers at all. Beyond that, I don't hate it.
Not using white is an interesting concept, but I feel that it is needed (and used) to create a big enough contrast so that you can easily read the players name and number. It's a good concept nonetheless, however I'm not a huge fan of the overuse of the stripes on the arms.
looks cool like something we'd throw together with stencils for the beer league team
This reminds me of the Dalhousie University Tigers (Halifax, NS), which uses gold and black as their colours. For quite some time, they used those colours alone: http://bit.ly/N4qOVN
