0515: Alternate Greys
Wednesday · Jul 17 · 2013 | 9:00 AM PDT 9 Comments
About six weeks ago, the Dallas Stars and Carolina Hurricanes treated us to their new looks. Both use silver/grey in the logos but not as a primary part of their color palette. That hasn't stopped these two artists from producing grey third jerseys for each — separately, of course. Bastian Schmülling came up with the Canes look while Mason Hesse did a little something for the Stars. What do you think? Should grey be the next odd color we see take over an NHL sweater?

Looks very baseball.
I like the Carolina jersey here better than their new set. I like the way that the base grey colour makes the other colours, especially the red, really pop out. The Dallas jersey is pretty good also. I think the Dallas one would look better with green numbers and lettering.
I have always loved grey even before it become envogue. These are simple simple jerseys that are very nice!
i like the dallas one more than the carolina one. maybe i just like the green on grey better than red on grey. dallas seems authentic. carolina seems forced.
Not a fan of the grey jersey. The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles tried them in the Q and they were awful.
I like the gray. Teams could wear it at home or on the road.
They look okay on a computer monitor but they wouldn't look very good on the ice. Better than antique white, though.
I like Dallas's more than the Canes but I'm not sure grey would look good on the ice. I hope it doesn't turn into an overdone 3rd fad like black in the past.
I like the idea of a grey jersey. I think the Sharks would definitely be able to pull it off. Maybe even a very light grey instead of having a white jersey.
