0516: Buffalo Blue
Under the circumstances, a blue Sabres jersey isn't exactly topical. But I plan out these posts in advance. So until I get around to some of the gold Buffalo concepts that have been coming in, enjoy this blue one from Brian Brideau. And let's ask ourselves why this isn't already the team's primary uniform.

I always like that old third jersey logo, but it looks a heck of a lot better in the blue and yellow colour scheme. The bison doesn't look bad in it either. It would have been a great third had they not opted for a yellow jersey.
Wow this is a great spin off their 90's red alternate. Really like how Brian implemented the old logos with the current colors and brought the upgraded template to rbk with a classy stripe pattern.
Generally, a very good jersey. I've always been a fan of the red third jersey's logo from the early 2000's and, like many, have made similar concepts with the current color scheme. My only real complaint about the logo is that the swords are a little cartoonish (short and fat.)
As for the rest of the jersey, I would get rid of the "goat heads" on the shoulder, replacing them with either the B w/ a sword through it or some other new logo. I might also consider making the name and/or collar gold to break up all of the white.
Digging this concept in a big way. That is a great logo. I love how the inside of the circle is the same colour as the jersey. This makes the swords stand out and puts a nice big ring on the front. That was a poor explanation, so I'll just say that I like it a lot!
A team called the SABRES with SABRES as their logo! What a novel idea! I have always had an issue with Buffalo teams thinking their logo should be a buffalo - that's your city not your nickname.

I always loved that cross-swords logo. My only issue was the negative space above the swords. A thought just occurred to me, what if they put the outline of New York State in the circle (especially considering the swords would mostly show off upstate NY)?
The jersey, however, is fantastic. I love that it has their base striping on the sleeves and hem w/o all the piping/underarm nonsense.
I think I would prefer the inside of the logo to be gray (the shade that trims the white stripe) but either way, this is probably the best concept I've ever seen on this page. A+++++++++++.
That is a beautiful hockey sweater. I don't even like the Sabres and I would buy one in a heartbeat. Very nicely done.
Ive said it before but I would love to see someone take the fierce looking buffalo from the black jerseys and adopt it to a blue and gold uniform. Always loved it and think it would look great in those colors. This uniform is sleek but I am not a real big fan of the two sword logo, I like their current logo or the fierce buffalo head better.
This is by far the best concept ive seen on these pages...spectacular job by the designer.
The subtle silver in the striping gets two thumbs up from me!
