Here's a look I really love. Victor You has updated the Leafs' old logo and created a secondary mark inspired by the Toronto Arenas logo. Best of all he's gone with a very dark shade of blue that gives the whole kit a very classic feel.

It's looking less and less like the first Winter Classic to feature a Canadian club will be nothing more than a dream. But that hasn't stopped the concepts from rolling in. This one from Tex Fischer is a little different from options we've seen in the past.

Here's another Detroit-Toronto Winter Classic concept. I'm posting this even as we wait for word on whether the game will even be played at all. I like this one because it's simple and quickly identifiable. Nobody turning on the TV on January 1 would have to look twice to see which teams were playing. Now let's just hope they get to play.

Believe it or not, this Winter Classic Weekend post was scheduled long before yesterday's unveiling of the official new Winter Classic logo. But because of that, it couldn't be coming at a better time. Matt McElroy has assembled a beautiful set of uniforms here as well as a great logo. Now that we've seen the real logo, I can't wait to see the real uniforms as well!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the subject of this Winter Classic Weekend. Anthony Ruggiero has put together a couple of ideas. And for what it's worth, he actually sent in these long before Howard Berger said the Leafs would be using this 1927 crest.
