Nick Sample has drawn up a Winter Classic-style sweater for the Washington Capitals. It looks a lot like a throwback but it definitely isn't. Kind of like the Red Wings' 2014 Winter Classic look.

The extremely prolific Bastian Schmülling has a cool set for the Washington Capitals today. Every time I see a concept with the Weagle on it, I keep wondering why this team hasn't already done a third jersey with it. It's a great logo. And unlike their primary mark — it's an actual logo.
We're coming down to the end of the Waddell brothers' long-running concept series. This week we get the Capitals and Sharks, as requested by Bastian last weekend.
Normally, I let you guys pick the next pair of teams. But since we're down to just four remaining, I'm going to take the reins in the home stretch. Check back next Saturday to see which two teams will be next! (By the way, I'm betting there will be someone who doesn't read this and posts their request anyway. Let's see if I'm right.)
I think it's time we wrap up Justin Week. Convenient since Friday is upon and there's this really freaky Washington Capitals concept from Justin Nahhas. These mixtures of past and present are starting to become a staple of the concepts page, for better or worse. In any case, that's all from the Justins for now. But I'm sure they'll be back soon enough. They are prolific, after all.
We've seen a number of concepts that have tried to mix the Caps' current look with its original one from the 1970s. But Kris Lutes is just going for it. Same jersey. New logos. Something you'd want to see on the ice one of these days?
It's Thanksgiving Day in the USA. So before you pound down the turkey, here's a look at a different bird. The Weagle. And I'm fairly certain that Brian Brideau has just designed the perfect Washington Capitals third jersey. It's blue and it hints at the original 1970s look with a row of stars and that shoulder yoke. Why don't we all just agree to be thankful when the Caps finally implement this design — as they should.
Now get off the Internet and go talk to your family!
On the heels of yesterday's Team USA concepts comes this rather patriotic Washington Capitals design by Dylan Alexander. All of these are really cool options but none beat the Captain America-inspired alternate sweater. Count me as a fan!
