0633: No Orange in San Jose

So you say you don't care much for the burnt orange found on the San Jose Sharks' logos and uniforms? How about a return to a classic color scheme? Bastian Schmülling continues to impress with his sharp designs.

0630: Super Shark Freak Out

Remember 14 years ago when the MLB decided to "turn ahead the clock" with some unusual jerseys? Bet you thought you'd never see it happen to the NHL. Then Dylan Wonka did this to the San Jose Sharks. Are you freaked out at all?

0620: All Teal, All the Time

John Elbertson has been sending along some neat ones lately. How about this monochromatic treatment for the Sharks? The Red Wings and Maple Leafs have done it forever — the Lightning more recently. Any other teams that should consider the single-color look?

0563: Fixing the Sharks

The San Jose Sharks' new uniforms got pretty mixed reviews when it was unveiled. And plenty of readers had suggestions for how they could improve them. To that end, I have a couple of great ideas to share today. First, our hero of hand-drawn art Morgo Uxbridge proves shoulder yokes aren't a dealbreaker, but you really need something in the waist area.

And regular contributor Matt Marczel proves the same, but in a different way. Kind of a bummer looking at these and seeing what the Sharks missed out on.

0549: The Next Wave

If yesterday's teasers are to be trusted, the San Jose Sharks will unveil their new home and road jerseys today! So while we wait, a couple of concept artists have produced their take on what we might expect based on the three teaser images the Sharks released.

First up is Justin Wiltron, who is probably very close. I'm not so sure the white will extend all the way down, but other than that, he could be on the money. It's a nice, simplified look that would work well for the Sharks.

Brian Brideau has essentially the same thing, except for — I think — a more accurate waist striping pattern. But as for the sleeve stripes, I think it was clear from the first teaser they aren't diagonal. Then again, it's hard to say for certain.

Looking forward to seeing what we actually get — and how close our concept artists got!

0528: Revising the Sharks

The San Jose Sharks are one of a handful of teams expected to make tweaks to their uniforms for next season. Daniel Rubin tried changing the shoulder patch and the striping around the bottom of the jersey. Already an improvement, but I think we'll get a bit more than this when the time comes.

0444: Swimming With Sharks

WHA Week continues with this one from Nick Burton. I'm not sure whether it's intended to be a San Jose Sharks jersey featuring the old Los Angeles Sharks logo — or an L.A. Sharks jerseys with San Jose colors. Either way, it's pretty cool.
