Ross Taylor has another couple of brand-blended logos to share with us. On this Freak Out Friday he's mixing the NHL and WHA franchises of Toronto and New Jersey. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Toros have been combined just as the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Knights.

We're giving Ross a bit of a break after his epic Freak Out Friday series. Today, Kalin Szoke offers up this very unusual design for the Edmonton Oilers. I'll say this about it... I don't think you can possibly make the logo any bigger. Kalin tells me it was a first attempt at creating a concept jersey. It's certainly out there, but the real question is this: Would you want one hanging in your closet?

This week, Ross Taylor continues his brand-blending series by merging the new Ducks with the old Mighty Ducks — and throwing in a little green for good measure. I love the colors but I'm not sure the webbed D and the duck mask work all that well together.

A cougar hawk doesn't sound like anything I'd ever want to come across in the wild. Let alone Chicago. But of course it's Friday once again and that means Ross Taylor is on top of things blending brands and what not. So, half of this concept is clearly the Chicago Blackhawks, but does anyone here remember the Chicago Cougars? You might if you were around between 1972 and 1975 and followed the WHA.
So this Freak Out Friday is kind of a double feature. The concept above was Ross's revised set. Below you'll find the one he originally sent me — the one he wasn't as much a fan of.
Mainly, he didn't like how the crest turned out with the hockey rink shape. I don't blame him. The reason I'm even posting it is so you could get an idea of what the dark jersey might look like. But since they're both here, which do you prefer?

Ross Taylor continues to surprise week after week with his Freak Out Friday series. Just when you thought there are no more teams left to do, he finds another. This time it's the Buffalo Sabres, who've endured more than their share of identity issues over the last 42 years. But with this set, Ross is ignoring the Buffaslug years. Pretending that era never happened.

One of Ross's earliest creations was also his most popular. Readers had a lot of love for his Colorado Rockalanche concept (a mix between the Avs and Rockies) back in March, so he decided to put the full uniforms on display.

Another Freak Out Friday is upon us, and as usual Ross Taylor has some brand-blending artwork to share. This time he's mixed the NHL's Calgary Flames with the WHA's Calgary Cowboys, a team that existed from 1975 to 1977. Funny enough, it kind of works.
