But he's revisiting it again — only this time he's adapting it specifically for the Colorado Avalanche. Future Winter Classic or Stadium Series game?

All right, I hope you guys like the Dallas Stars, because we're embarking on two solid weeks of Stars concepts starting today. As you know, the club will officially unveil its new logo and uniforms on June 4. So leading up to the big event will be as many Stars designs as I can fit. Ross Taylor is back on Freak Out Friday. Today he's looking at the Islanders and what might happen if they followed their new fellow tenants at the Barclays Center and changed up their color scheme. You'll notice a bit of a callback to this design from back in March.

Think of this one as the road not taken. Ross Taylor designed this concept for a member of Icethetics' own fantasy league, the IceHL's Hamilton Steelcats. Ross designed this logo back in 2008 when we first put the league together. Now, just for the heck of it, he's created a set of jerseys to go with it. What do you think?

Back in February, I told you the ECHL's Bay Area expansion club was willing to consider some Icethetics designer submissions for a secondary logo. Well, it's been five months and I still haven't gotten a straight answer out of them one way or the other. I'm afraid they won't be going with any of our designs so I've decided to post them here on this page over the next few Sundays. And be sure to check back because some of them are really quite something.

It was Ross Taylor's Colorado Rockalanche — a fusion of the Avalanche and the Rockies, which came decades before them. It keeps coming up again and again so Ross keeps working on it. Today, he brings us a revised uniform set complete with a brand new wordmark.

Ross Taylor has another couple of brand-blended logos to share with us. On this Freak Out Friday he's mixing the NHL and WHA franchises of Toronto and New Jersey. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Toros have been combined just as the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Knights.
