0701: Fixing the Ducks' Stadium Look

One week from today, the Ducks and Kings will take things outside for the first regular season NHL game to take place beneath the SoCal sun. And having just been down there a week ago, I can't imagine how they'll keep the ice icy. Magic, I presume.

Anyway, Dylan Wonka is back with a fix for the very orange jersey Anaheim will sport for their Stadium Series game. It adds — interestingly enough — a colored shoulder yoke and, hey, stripes! So one question: Better or worse than the real deal?

0697: Anaheim Preview

It's been reported the Anaheim Ducks are considering promoting their third jersey to the new home set as early as next year. That could bring with it some other changes, as imagined by Brandon Holmes. First, he offers up a white version for road games. Then, how about a new alternate — in orange! Could you see these completing an updated set of Ducks uniforms in the near future?

0655: Ware's Stadium Sketches

Stadium Series Week continues today with a couple of submissions from Mat Ware. First is a set for the Soldier Field game between the Blackhawks and Penguins. Knowing that the NHL is going in a more modern direction with these uniforms, it's unlikely we'll see throwbacks like these on March 1.

The Ducks and Kings unveil their Stadium jerseys today. Here's a look at what Mat hoped to see for this game. Tomorrow we take a look at the New York Stadium Series games.

0654: Dodger Stadium Sketches

Tomorrow, the Ducks and Kings unveil the jerseys they will wear at their 2014 Stadium Series meeting in January. Since more unveilings are likely around the corner, this is Stadium Series Week on the Concepts page!

First up is Justin Cox. His set is not strictly based on recent rumors as much as wishful thinking. What a great looking game this would be if the teams actually wore these uniforms.

Another Justin is next. Justin Wiltron went in an interesting direction. Though it might be a little too retro-themed for the Stadium Series.

Finally, Jake Miller was inspired by the unveiling of the Islanders' Stadium jersey when he designed this one for the Ducks. Think any of these guys are on the right track? We won't have to wait long to find out.

0645: Mighty Orange

Anaheim Ducks PR man Adam Brady recently confirmed the team will be wearing an orange jersey for their Stadium Series appearance in January. So I've gathered up the top five orange Ducks concepts recently submitted to Icethetics. First up is Brian Brideau. Recognize the inspiration for his design?

Brady Sufat's design has a bit more black, but with the "Mighty" touches, it makes for a sharp look. Though I wouldn't count on seeing that Nike swoosh anywhere near an NHL game anytime soon.

Caleb Fuller has a more retro feel to his orange number with the shoulder patch from the Ducks' third jersey placed front and center.

Brendan Anderson has not one but two ideas to share. Both are inspired by jerseys from the eggplant and jade days — only in black and orange. Personally, I prefer the top one.

And finally, Ryan Haslett gives us this one without any waist stripes. Got any favorites in the bunch? If the Ducks had to go with one of these six jerseys, which should it be?

0621: Fixing Anaheim... Again

The Ducks looked great earlier this month bringing back the "Mighty" look, but I understand why they won't go back to it full time. So instead, how about moving forward the existing branding by knocking out that awful wordmark? Matt McElroy's concept does just that — even if the striping is a little reminiscent of the Stars' new uniforms.

0610: The Mighty Outdoors

This Outdoor Saturday post may have been better suited to last week when the Ducks held their Throwback Night. But better late than never, right? Dylan Wonka presents a pair of throwback-inspired jerseys, either of which would be awesome for the Ducks-Kings Stadium Series game in January.

But most reports instead have them wearing orange with the classic Mighty Ducks crest. Anyone want to tackle that for a future Saturday post?
