Best jersey ever.
Nordiques home jersey was close, but this one takes the lead.
What a shame the Hurricanes went to awful red and black when they moved.
The 92-97 home whites are amazing. they're by far my fav NHL jersey. And i don't even care about the team, i just think it's a great sweater. I have one, it took a long time to find, but i love that thing. Even if it is a goalie cut.
I love these. Only thing that would make them better would be a green alternate jersey.
I wish the Plymouth Whalers were still wearing this design, instead of switching to different Edge templates (that don't match) when the CHL made their change. And it bothers me because the Seattle Thunderbirds managed to transition this design over to the Edge system.
It's interesting to see the difference in collars evident on the blue jerseys - the change came with the Starter uniforms in 1996-97. Chris Pronger (who was long gone by 1996) is clearly wearing the traditional CCM collar, with three layers of poly-blend fabric stitched together, while Sanderson, Nikolishin, Cassels, and Primeau all have the thicker, ribbed-material collar that was common on Starter game sweaters. It's hard for me to make out which style Glen Wesley's collar is (anybody know if he was an alternate captain before 1996-97?). All of the white jerseys look like the CCM style collar.
awwwww...look at little baby Pronger...before he turned into Evil Incarnate.
what about the really old jerseys the one gordie howe wore?
Note the bottom of the page where it says "other galleries to be added." We'll get there. But only with patience.
It's kinda funny how these guys pull off the colors way better than the canucks, considering they have the same color scheme.
Best uniforms ever (even the older Whaler unis looked awesome). BTW, this was also back before the NHL went to this stupid policy of the HOME team wearing their ROAD uniforms, and vice versa!! Jeez, I am SICK of that already!! When is Gary Buttman gonna reverse that crap already and get back to normal?!?!
those home whites go up there as one of the best jersey sets ever. Very simple, great colors, and a simple little logo that is classic and represents the team perfectly. Too bad Carolina's jerseys will NEVER be as great as these jerseys
Still got my Sanderson road sweater on standby every time I head out to AHL or college games. Who knew you could combine a W, H, and a whale tail and get the best logo in sports!? Hartford is a city hungry for a pro sports team, best place they could put a new arena is over by Cabela's and Rentschler Field... but that's just wishful thinking on my part.
