their orange jerseys are the best in the league by far!!
I think that the Flyers' home/road set may be one of the most under-appreciated in the League. The orange is simply beautiful, and does a great job of paying tribute to the past, while the white jersey takes inspiration from the orange and flips the colors. I know people don't like the black nameplate on the white jersey because it's not "historically accurate", but this isn't a 1970s jersey; it's just inspired by one. If there were no black nameplate (and it was simply a standard white one), I think that the set would be among the most highly-rated in the NHL among American teams. But because it's such a unique feature (until Buffalo copied it on their 2010-2011 alternate) it's going to divide some people, and that's what makes it so excellent.
Why do they have two logos that are so similar? Why don't they just go with one or the other? They're so similar I wouldn't have noticed the difference if they weren't right next to each other. They should just go with the "crest".
It's good that they went back to the orange and white. I don't like the black.
So glad my home team has some of the most classic jerseys in the NHL. Love these and was so glad to see the fugly rbk edge jerseys leave and i hated the black ones too. For this years winter classic if it is in philly i'd either pay attribute to the old philly quakers or wear the orange from the legion of Doom 90s era, i loved those b/c the orange was a bit more red oragne and looked really good, not that i dnt like th ecurrent lighter orange theyre great too.
I hate the Flyers, but they've got the best unis in the NHL. I'm just bummed out that this season the captain's "C" and "A"s are white instead of orange on the away jerseys.
yo jake s. i totally agree man the white A and C are so plain and dont stand out, maybe theyll change back after the midway point (all star game). and if not hopefully next year lol i just cant wait to see the winter classic jersey, def wana use whatever it is as an alternate cause we havent had 3 jerseys since b4 the lockout.
Has anyone else noticed that the orange on the current jerseys is a lighter orange than on all of the previous ones? I prefer the old orange, looked more aggressive, what it should look like for the former Broad Street Bullies.
The Flyers have some of the best jerseys in the NHL. Going retro paid instant dividends for the Flyers. I just want them to get an alternate. Hopefully the 2012 Winter Classic jersey. Love it to death and it fits Philly the best
I really hope they take their 2012 WC jersey and make it into their home jersey, ASAP. Their current home and away jerseys are some of my least favorite in the league, while the WC is amazing. Good blend of orange, black, and vintage white.
Can't stand those new WC jerseys. I saw some of those simple black and orange Quakers concepts by people on here before these were unveiled, and they looked much, much better in my opinion. These just look like they were pasted together.
As far as their regular set goes, though, they're defiantly some of the best in the League.
