Just an fyi, the 2003 alternates were worn through the 2006 playoffs and were last worn in game 5 of the conference finals on 5/28.

Cool!! My local AAA team uses those 2003-2006 jerseys as there homes and the team name is the Kings and there home is the white King's jersey from now , It's funny cause here in Ontario i don't think they know there a big rivalry between the two teams but the colors work so w.e.. BTW its the same AAA team all the Staals played on and the Pyatt 's and Johnson brothers ohhh and Auld lol , We make from great players here in Thunder Bay just sayin.

With the exception of their current D thirds, Anaheim has some of the most bland looking jerseys in the entire NHL. They really need to bring back the Mighty Ducks look and the old logo.

The old look wasn't anywhere near the best in the league, but it'd be a big step back up and revive a brand that's pretty much universally recognizable, even among non-NHL fans.

I was wondering what you meant by picture quality Chris! The colors are a little under-saturated. I own the teal alternate from 97-99 and it is a very vibrant and colorful jersey. However I am now wondering if mine is some sort of knock-off, as the gold pinstripe on mine is actually much thicker, and it has a V-neck. Hmmm.....

Except for the much-maligned 1996 Flying Wing jersey, all of these look great. I actually sort of miss how the Ducks use to look.

Hi Dave, yeah I did the best I could to bring the colors out, but there just wasn't a lot to work with. And I can't spend hours on each individual photo. At the very least, it gives you an idea what the jerseys looked like in action, even if the color isn't great.

I miss these jerseys. I hope the Anaheim Ducks do a retro night one day especially with the 03-06 3rd jerseys and the original jerseys. Even as an adult these jerseys are still wonderful.

I miss these jerseys so much. The purple and green was perfect. This is my childhood. Paul Kariya is still my favourite player of all time, and the Mighty Ducks movies are still as classic as they always will be.

What the Ducks had before they rebranded was, in my eyes, absolutely perfect. The name change had to be done, and I do like the current colours, but with the exception of the third jersey the Ducks have the most soulless look in the entire NHL. Given the choice, I would go back to the original uniforms in an instant... or even keep the current colours and make the original logo the primary again. Either way, I'd be a happy fan for life.

The duck mask logo has its haters, but to me it's like a badge of honour, and I will defend it to the bitter end regardless of its origins. It's a shame it's not what the Ducks won the Cup in, but I can live with that. Although I am happy they brought it back into their current identity in some way.

(On a side note Chris, I can see why you kept the galleries separate now. That's a lot of jerseys to scroll through!)

My First Ever hockey game the ducks wore the 97 alternate white jersey. And also I love the new Jerseys but i bought the new third jersey for one reason The Recolored MIGHTY DUCK.

On the 97-99 Alternate jersey, do you know what's up with the 2 different socks? Did they change after one season? Some of the pics they're wearing the normal socks and in others they have ones with more emphasis on the yellow.

any1 else notice how it looks like Selanne's celebration imitates wildwing on the jersey lol I loved and still love the mighty ducks jerseys. I own an autographed teemu selanne wildwing(i know its horendous but its an awesome collectors item just b/c of all the hype it drew and being one of the original alternates ever worn in the nhl). I also onw the white alternate from the late 90s(the teal one was just awful the yellow and silver killed it) and i own the original purple road. I wana find an authentic white selanne but theyre so damn hard to come by on eBay anymore(guess everyone knows hes nearing the end and wana save theirs), when authentics do pop up which theres 2 one right now theyre $200+ (btw i just saw a selanne wildwing think its nearing the $300 mark lol).

To answer your question Jason they wore the regular socks throughout the 1 season of the alternates introduction (97-98) and then wore the alternate socks with the matching yellow stripe from 98-2000 when they retired the alternate in its entirety.
