They've had the same basic jerseys other than some slight RBK mods (white piping on shoulders) for their entire nearly 15 year existence. I wouldn't be shocked to see some kind of new logo and jerseys in the next few years.
@Bizzle
The only problem with that would be coming up for a new logo for the Hurricanes. There aren't many options when that is your name, unless they went the route they did with their third by using the flag or something similar
Don't count on it Bizzle. Our owner believes in keeping a solid and consistent team identity. He held out against a third for ages, at one point it was us and the Devils who had never had a third.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the third revamped at some point, but I don't think that a significant overhaul is going to happen as long as Karmanos owns the team. And after that, odds are that they'll be so entrenched that the new owner wouldn't want to touch them.
The Canes' jerseys are fine, although I wish the third would include the correct two flags instead of one for the "hurricane warning."
I think just removing the contrasting pipping around the shoulders and removing the black stripes would've made these jerseys a million times better looking. Their new jerseys are a HUGE downgrade.
