Nice! Thanks! Can't wait for the old "eagle" ones to get up here
The Caps didnt wear the red pants with stars for pretty much their entire existance (before the black and bronze era). They wore blue pants with stars leading up to 1995, and the Winter Classic uniform set was mostly a replica of their inaugural uniforms from the 1974.
Love the WC jersey. They HAVE to make it their alternate.
This Caps fan would do bad things to have the current uniform scheme be the current red for a home, the winter classic jersey for the away, and a red version of the WC sweater as an alternate. It's just crisp, clean, and unmistakably the Washington Capitals.
Apparently ANY "classic" jersey is worthy of at least 4 stars.
Hey Chris, I was wondering if you know what the Caps will do with their "third" next year.
I think they should keep them but add helmets for them, instead of using their regular roads' helmets with them, which to me seems a little ghetto, as the crest and numbers don't match.
I don't like how the regular helmets and gloves are used with the third. Would getting matching equipment really make them go broke?
I think they should make their current alternate, their away. Then keep there home as it is. Then for a new alternate, put their current shoulder patch on the front of the home jersey, or bring back the old eagle logo with a new jersey scheme, and change the old colors with the new ones
Isn't the weagle a mirror image on either shoulder (the heads face different directions on either shoulder)? You only have the weagle with the head facing to the right on the logo list.
Guess who: I am mortified. Would you believe that in the five years these jerseys have been around, I have never noticed that and it was never pointed out to me! I just lost a lot of jersey street cred for that one. Thanks for letting me know. The change has been made.
Just wondering if the Caps are changing their uniforms next year, a local sports merchandise store is selling the Caps current home and away and the alternate jerseys for a discount.
