Now, I may be a biased homer, but the Blackhawks have the best jersey set in the entire NHL. The red homes are just perfect and are the best jerseys in all professional sports, the white aways are solid, the black thirds are the second best in the league behind only the Blues' arch sweaters, and even their defunct black variant thirds are nice-looking.

Honestly, I love both jerseys but I think I like the white one better. It has so much color for a white jersey and it looked even better with the stanley cup final logo on it. Hawks also got it right with making the Winter Classic the third jersey...I wish the Wings wouldve done the same.

@ Chicagolander, I agree! Hawks have the best uni's in the league BUT that stupid RBK DIAPER HEM ruins it! Wish my Pens would go back to the '91/'92 uni's minus that stupid RBK DIAPER HEM!

I am not from Chicago but all I can say is that the Blackhawks have the best uniform set in the NHL today next to Detroit. I don't know what anonymous canucklehead is saying but that old black jersey is great.

I like the old black jersey too. The current third's not bad, and unlike this year's crop of "vintage creme", the tan color is actually part of the team's history, and not a case of artificial aging. If only Reebok would get rid of that stupid hemline...

One gallery I'd like to see for the Blackhawks (and I know this would be a great and difficult challenge, to say the least) would be the 1991-92 (and one game in 1994) striped throwbacks. It'd be nice to compare them to the current third and recent black jerseys.

I agree with Rob. The barberpole style of jersey would be interesting to see, and I wonder how it would turn out with the Reebok Edge style. If they would implement the barberpole, as well as keep the current third, the Chicago Blackhawks would capture almost all of their 85 years of jersey history in the sweaters they wear today.

Also a Blackhawks fan. I love the hometown team. They have the best logo in the NHL to me. I am not a huge fan of the new third jersey though. I liked the simple black jersey but the new ones are not that bad. Either way, the Blackhawks have a great jersey set no matter what.

I'm a big fan of the Chicago's uniform set, even though I'm a Sabres fan. I don't know why, but I really, really like the pants on the current third uni's. That triangle and the colour scheme are just eye-catching!!

Why is there no link to the debut for the first third jersey?

I don't usually write blog posts when a jersey debuts but rather when it's unveiled. There was never an unveiling for the Hawks' original third. And we never really saw it until its game debut. Therefore, there's no blog post to link to.

Please bring back the original black alternate 3rd jersey,these things are so hard to find,if at all,all the Hawks jerseys are outstanding,except that throw-back black,winter classic,that thing is just plain boring,bring back the original 3rd black alternate......Thanks

If I could afford it, I would buy all the jerseys in the hawks set, including that green one and the 08-09 third. I have the current home with Toews on it and it's one of the best looking jerseys in my collection. I'll be sad to see the WC third go but however, I don't really care which jerseys they use, they are all awesome. Best in the league without a doubt.
